Hello and welcome to my Ultimate Tarisland Gear Guide
0:04
Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a newcomer to the game, you're in the right place to learn how to obtain the absolute best gear in Tarisland
0:13
In this comprehensive guide, we'll explore the best strategies for gearing up
0:18
along with detailing insight on gems, empowering, and tempering. These crucial aspects of character building will help you strengthen your character
0:27
and conquer the toughest challenges in Tarisland. So let's dive in and gear up for success
0:38
In Tarisland, obtaining the best gear comes with certain restrictions and progressive release
0:44
of content. As new content becomes available, so does progressively better gear
0:49
Currently, there is top-tier gear available that you can aim for to optimize your build
0:54
To truly maximize your character's potential, you need to focus on acquiring set gear
1:00
Each class and specialization has unique sets, and switching specialization will change your
1:06
set gear accordingly, so you only need one set and it will convert between your two specializations
1:12
A set consists of multiple pieces of gear that provide additional benefits with each
1:18
piece that you equip. Initially, you'll likely be using standard dungeon gear
1:22
or gear from arcane realm, which can boost your gear score up to 100
1:27
However, you'll be significantly weaker compared to somebody using set gear. There are four crucial components of gear you should aim for
1:36
So first of all, you've got the eight-piece set gear. This provides
1:40
additional stats and bonuses, and these will be included at three, five, and eight pieces
1:46
You've also got a two-piece set, which grants bonus stats for equipping two out of three
1:51
potential piece options. We've got unique badges that offer unique stat benefits
1:56
such as increased haste effect, and you've also got unique weapons, which also provide
2:01
unique stat benefits. This one, for example, will give a glancing effect plus three percent
2:06
Combining these elements allows you to maximize your character's potential. The easiest way to obtain these set pieces is by participating in elite raids. Additionally
2:18
you can receive one set piece per week from the arcane realm weekly chest
2:22
if you've completed the arcane realm that week. Note that you can only earn one set piece reward
2:27
per week from elite raids, which resets every Friday. If you miss a raid, you'll receive a
2:33
lucky coin, allowing you to get double rewards the following week, so you don't fall behind
2:38
To stay on top of gear progression, make sure to complete arcane realm at least once a week
2:43
and participate in each elite raid on a weekly basis, and also completing any new raids that
2:49
release. When we look at the different gear pieces, for the set piece helmet, you'll need
2:53
to complete synthesis doctor on elite, shoulder guards from forest gemini elite, armor is from
2:59
ancient tree elite, the belt comes from arch druid elite, greaves are from ancient tree elite
3:04
boots come from synthesis doctor elite. With the ring, which is part of a different set
3:09
you can get this from the synthesis doctor elite, or get it from the arcane realm weekly chest
3:15
Necklace is also part of the two-piece set, so get this from ancient tree elite
3:19
or arcane realm weekly chest. The unique badge comes from forest gemini, with the haste effect
3:25
You've also got one at the arch druid, which gives energy saving chance by three percent
3:29
so whichever one you prefer, obviously target that particular raid. Cape comes from forest
3:34
gemini elite, gauntlets from merfolk elite, leather gauntlets from merfolk elite, accessories
3:40
from merfolk elite, or the arcane realm weekly chest. This again is that two-piece set, but you
3:45
only need two of the three pieces, and then your weapon will come from the shadow witch initially
3:50
and then you can upgrade this to a unique one from arch druid elite, where you get the rare attributes
3:56
In this case, for my current spec, it would be glancing effect plus three percent. Normal raids
4:01
drop 90 gear score gear, the elite raids drop 100 gear score gear. When epic raids are eventually
4:07
released, you'll be able to get the 110 gear score gear at that point. Alternatively to doing all of
4:13
these different raids, completing the spider queen on elite or epic will reward the necklace, armor
4:19
greaves, ring, helmet, or boots. You can choose one of those, and the blight dragon will reward
4:25
you with both of the two unique badges, shoulder, cape, belt, and the unique weapon as well, so you
4:31
can choose one of those. Moving on to special aptitudes. These are essentially gear perks that
4:36
provide powerful additional benefits to your skills. These perks, randomly obtained on gear
4:43
can significantly enhance how some of your skills work, or add extra functionality, making them very
4:49
potent. Special aptitude effects can stack, so having multiple pieces of gear with the same effect
4:55
is beneficial. Additionally, since there are multiple types of special aptitude, you can focus
5:00
on acquiring different ones for each gear piece. There are three sets of special aptitudes, so let's
5:07
call this set one. So this applies to leather gauntlets, chest, ring, shoulder guards, cape, and belt
5:15
These pieces all share the same aptitude options, which you will randomly be assigned to a piece of
5:20
gear if you are lucky. There are seven possible options, as you can see here, for this particular
5:25
set of gear. Next, we'll call this set two. So this includes accessories, gauntlets, greaves, necklace
5:31
helmet, boots, and badge. These also have seven unique aptitude options, which are different from the
5:38
ones on the other pieces of gear. And then with weapons, weapons have their own set of seven
5:42
potential aptitude options as well, that are different from everything else that we've already
5:47
seen. So in total, there are 21 different special aptitudes. Each one is tied to a specific skill, so
5:54
if we look here, if we get the chill strike weapon, this is going to improve our chill strike skill. So
6:00
physical defense effect is going to be plus 59, nine percent chance, which is stackable to increase
6:05
echo recharge by one percent. So our chill strike is our single target attack, our spammable skill with a
6:11
2.8 second cooldown. So this is going to be proccing on a very frequent basis. Always ensure that the
6:17
special aptitude you have is beneficial for the skills you are using. If an aptitude is tied to a
6:22
skill you don't use, it's best to switch it via the tempering system as soon as possible. So if we
6:28
look at the options here, the second option down is storm flying axe, HP recovery effect. Now if we
6:33
look through my skills, I don't have that particular skill, so there is no point in me using any
6:39
aptitude on any of my gear that includes storm flying axe. To maximize the benefits of special
6:44
aptitude, consider which skills you use the most frequently. Typically your first three skills are
6:50
cast every few seconds, making the aptitudes that enchant these skills the most useful. So when we
6:56
look through the different options, we want to try and target those that will give us things like frost
7:01
cross. This is a skill we're going to be using on a regular basis, pretty much every three to five
7:06
seconds. So making use of things like that, like frost cross to recover HP, we can stack this up, we can
7:12
use it multiple times, and we're going to be using this skill on a very regular basis. There are no
7:16
aptitudes for your main AoE skill, and the final two skills often have long cooldowns. So as you can
7:22
see here, this is 84.2 second cooldown, this one is 112 seconds. So you have to decide if it's worth
7:28
applying special aptitudes to these skills as they are much less frequent. So if I've got something
7:33
that's only going to give a small benefit to death fight, is it really worth it when I can have
7:37
something that's going to improve frost strike, which is going to be active every seven seconds or
7:41
less, or this chill strike skill where I'm casting it every three seconds, obviously those are going to be
7:47
much more impactful. When you see the term echo of destiny, it refers to the Fatuina echo, which is
7:53
triggered via your inscribe stone system. So as you can see here, each time echo of destiny is gained
8:00
there is a 30% chance to increase the shield effect for the next frost strike by 157%
8:06
When we look in our inscribe system here, we can see at the starting point, there is a 30% chance
8:10
to inflict one stack of echo recharge in battle. 15 stacks triggers Fatuina echo, increasing your
8:17
specialization level. So this is what we're trying to trigger, we have to get to 15 stacks, and this
8:21
is what it's referring to. So when we proc this Fatuina echo, which also is part of the cores
8:26
here, here, and here, these are all triggered by being in combat, doing skills, this is what echo
8:32
recharges. It's basically the same thing. So when you activate that Fatuina echo, it's fairly automatic
8:37
you build up those stacks until you hit 15, then it just automatically engages, and that's what it
8:42
means when it says those additional effects on the special aptitudes. Moving on to gems, these are an
8:48
essential part of enhancing your gear in Tarisland, providing you with additional stats to strengthen
8:53
your character. Here's a breakdown on how to slot gems based on the gear pieces. So when we look at
8:59
it, your accessory, ring, and necklace all contain red gems. So they are red gem slots, you can only
9:06
slot red gems, and red gems are basically offensive gems. So as you can see here, when we press this
9:12
it's plus attack, we've got plus strength, so it's basically attack gems. When we move down to the
9:18
belt, cape, and gauntlets, these are blue gems, we can only slot blue gems in this slot, and blue gems
9:24
are defensive gems. So we've got stamina, here we've got a few resilience, so they are defensive gems
9:30
On the yellow gems, these are specialization gems, and again, you can only slot these on your weapon
9:36
specialization gems, I've currently got glancing for my tank. You can obtain gems through crafting
9:41
defeating world bosses, or purchasing from the market, or opening exploration chests. It's crucial
9:47
to equip gems in every slot, starting with tier one. As you progress and defeat world bosses every
9:53
few days, you can work towards acquiring tier two, and then tier three, which are the best available
9:59
but also they can be very expensive to buy, as you can see, anywhere between three and five thousand
10:05
gold. Matching the correct gems to your class and specialization is vital for optimal performance
10:10
Defeating world bosses also gives you a chance to obtain colorful gems. These unique gems come in
10:16
various types, and you can only use one of each at a time. Unlike regular gems, colorful gems can be
10:22
slotted into any slot, regardless of its color, and they are typically much stronger than normal
10:27
So if we look at this tier one colorful gem, it gives plus 38 stamina and plus 10 glancing. There
10:33
are six possible colorful gem options, so you can use one of each, and the good thing is, if you are
10:38
using a tank, for example, you might want to use your blue gems for increased stamina, and then you can
10:42
use your red gem slots. Instead of going for attack-based stuff, you might decide that you want
10:46
to slot all of the colorful gems into the red slots, so that you can go for the extra tankiness
10:51
That's just a little example. Next, we've got empowering gear. This is another crucial way to
10:56
enhance your character in Taris Land. Providing additional stats, typically this applies to gear
11:02
pieces where gems cannot be slotted. So when we look at the head, the chest, and the legs, these are
11:08
defensive empowers, and then on the shoulder, gauntlets, and boots, these are offensive empowers. You've
11:15
then also got weapons, which is your specialization in power as well. To empower gear, you'll need
11:20
several materials, including silver, arcane ash, dust or crystals, which are obtained from selling
11:26
high-level gear, and runes, which are crafted by alchemists, bought from the trade center, or from
11:32
the manual of destiny shop. There are three tiers of empowerments. You've got green, blue, and purple
11:38
The green tier is very accessible. Progressing onto blue tier is a bit more expensive. When you reach
11:44
the purple tier, you will have multiple options to choose from. These will provide more than one stat
11:50
benefit, and you've got various different effects that you can utilize from the purple empowerments
11:56
The best option will vary between class and specialization, so choose wisely on your build and
12:02
role. You will have to choose one that suits your needs the most, but obviously these require some
12:06
very expensive materials. Tempering is a vital process where you transfer stats or special
12:13
aptitudes from unused pieces of gear to a piece of gear that you actively use. So if we look at this
12:19
weapon, I've got an axe that's got the death fight special aptitude. I might decide that, okay, I don't
12:26
want that. I want to buff up frost cross because this one's going to recover hp. So to get the desired
12:31
stats or special aptitudes, you can farm additional gear pieces or buy them from the dungeon store
12:37
So you'll have lots and lots of rare medals, you'll have ancient medals, and you're most likely not
12:44
going to be using the majority of this gear if you've done your elite raids and you've got your
12:48
set pieces of gear, because these are not set gear, this is just regular gear, but you can still buy
12:52
these items. You then might obtain items that have better stats or maybe they have special aptitudes
12:59
that are better than the ones that you've got. Once you have the gear with the stats or aptitudes
13:03
that you need, you go to the tempering tab, select the gear piece that you want to upgrade, then select
13:09
the gear with the desired stats or special aptitudes in the adjacent slot. You'll need to use silver
13:15
arcane ash, dust, or crystals to complete the transfer. The unwanted gear piece will be consumed
13:21
in the process, but the desired stats or aptitudes will be transferred to the set gear. So for example
13:26
when I'm building out my tank, I might want to go for glancing and stamina. So I will look for a piece
13:31
of gear, I will farm some weapons that have glancing and stamina, and then convert them over
13:36
by pressing this, special aptitudes again, this one's just a green, this one has a blue, is this
13:42
one better? We have to kind of figure out, okay is the frost cross one better? If you do prefer it
13:46
you press the little box and then you temper it to transfer across that aptitude. With all this
13:51
information you should now be able to obtain the best gear in Tarisland, utilizing powerful sets
13:56
and combining various gear system functions to maximize your character's potential. By efficiently
14:02
using gems, empowering gear, and tempering the best special aptitudes and stats onto your gear set
14:07
you can achieve optimal setups and extra raw power. A huge thank you to all of our subscribers
