Raven Cards are a series of 192 full-arc cards that make a card collection system
0:12
where you'll open packs, obtain cards, upgrade them, and use these cards to customize your character's combat abilities within the game
0:21
Raven Cards are applied to your archetype skills to give them additional functionality
0:26
Every skill in the game has two different Raven Cards which can be applied to it
0:30
This gives you two varying options of how you want each skill to function
0:34
One card might heal you, and the other do more damage. Sometimes the cards will synergize with other skills within that archetype
0:42
other times they will provide an additional buff or an enemy debuff, and even sometimes group utility
0:47
The Raven Card system gives you more options to create your own unique build and combat playstyle
0:53
To obtain Raven Cards, you'll need to get a Raven Pack. You'll need to buy Raven Packs using Dawn Essence
0:59
which is a currency you obtain from leveling up from the North Star Quest rewards
1:05
supply bags which are earned by killing enemies, crafting and gathering, and other in-game activities
1:10
And you can also get Dawn Essence by breaking down your low-level and unwanted gear
1:14
by speaking to NPC Selenia in Ravencrest in front of the bank
1:19
In addition, you can earn Raven Packs by watching partnered streamers on Twitch when there is an active drops campaign
1:26
Once you have Dawn Essence, head on over to the Raven Card interface by pressing G on your keyboard and press on the Packs tab
1:33
Simply click the Get Raven Packs button to purchase a Raven Pack for 300 Dawn Essence
1:39
Note that you cannot buy Raven Packs or cards for real money, nor trade them with other players
1:45
These are only earnable from in-game activities or Twitch drops. And you can now open your Raven Packs to obtain 5 Raven Cards per pack
1:54
When opening packs, if you obtain a duplicate, these will automatically deconstruct into Raven Shards
2:00
The amount of Shards will vary depending on the rarity of the Raven Card which was deconstructed
2:07
If you get a higher rarity card, your lower rarity card will be deconstructed into Shards and you'll retain the rarer card
2:14
Raven Shards are a currency which can be used to upgrade the rarity of Raven Cards already in your possession
2:21
Just simply find the card you wish to upgrade on the Collections tab and press the icon beside the card to bring up the upgrade menu
2:29
You'll see the cost to upgrade and you press the button to simply upgrade it
2:33
There are 7 different levels of rarity with Raven Cards and this is important because the rarer the card, the stronger the effect it has
2:41
So gaining higher rarity cards will improve your strength in combat and is very important
2:47
When opening Raven Packs, there's a pity system in place which will increase your luck by 1% every time you open a pack
2:54
This makes it easier to obtain higher rarity of cards the more packs that you open
2:59
This is especially helpful to help you obtain those Arcane, Mythic and Legendary cards which are much harder to obtain
3:06
And they also take a lot of Raven Shards to upgrade to that level
3:10
Once you have opened your Raven Packs, you now need to equip the Raven Cards
3:15
To do this, you go to your skill tree by pressing K on your keyboard or selecting it from the menu
3:21
You then need to press the switch at the bottom of this screen to switch between your skills and your cards
3:27
You'll only be able to apply a Raven Card to a skill you have purchased, so make sure you have the skills you want before trying to input a card
3:36
Once on the card screen, you press on a purchased skill and this will show you the available Raven Card options
3:43
You can see both of the Raven Cards which can be used on this skill, but sometimes there is a lock symbol if you don't yet own the card and you won't be able to equip it
3:51
Hovering over the card will show you what effect this will have on the skill and you can also see the card's rarity
3:58
Press on the card and then select card to equip it and the effects of this Raven Card will now be added to the skills you applied it to
4:05
You want to do this for all of your skills so that your build is fully completed with Raven Cards applied to all of them
4:12
So that is everything for this Raven Card guide. Thank you very much for watching and I'll see you next time. Bye bye for now
