Lost Ark's Paradise System Redefines Progression
Smilegate and Amazon have revealed the summer-to-fall roadmap for Lost Ark, designed to bring solo-friendly progression, a new class, seasonal raids, and more
July – Paradise System:
- Solo-focused seasonal system featuring Elysian wave-based combat, the 1v1 Crucible, and the 100-floor Hell dungeon. Gear earned here resets each season but offers a standalone progression loop.
- Mokoko Bootcamp returns, with solo raid modes and rewards for veteran players.
- Quality-of-life enhancements include a simplified Skin Book, consolidated reputation dailies, removal of Tripods and Epic Engravings, and UI cleanup.
August – Valkyrie & Prestige Shop:
- The long-awaited female Paladin class launches with both support (defensive shields) and DPS (holy swords) builds
- The Prestige Shop debuts, offering 10% back in points for Royal Crystal purchases—retroactive rewards included.
September – Assault: Rimeria:
- A limited-time duo of events: a 1–4 player dungeon (Abyssal Wrath: Narhash) and an 8-player raid (Flame of Darkness: Tarkal), offering medals, ancient accessories, hefty gold, and more.
Coming Q4 – Kazeros Raid:
Players can prepare for a full-scale showdown with Kazeros, Lord of the Abyss—touted as Lost Ark’s most ambitious raid yet
Simon Collins-Laflamme Teases Hytale Revival
After last week’s cancellation of Hytale and shutdown of Hypixel Studios, former founder Simon Collins-Laflamme has taken to social media with plans to revive the game independently. He says he’s willing to fund a 30-person team with $25 million of his own money, aiming for a streamlined early access version using the original engine.
While emphasizing expectations should be “extremely low,” Collins-Laflamme says he’s committed to trying: “No Kickstarter. Just raw passion, high pressure, and high risk.”
ESO Teases Feast of Shadows & Update 47
During a recent ESO Live stream, ZeniMax previewed the Feast of Shadows dungeon pack, which brings two new group dungeons as part of the 2025 Content Pass. Meanwhile, Update 47, launching August 18 on PC and September 3 for consoles, includes several quality-of-life improvements: swimming mounts, replayable quest dialogue, and stackable survey reports among them.
On top of that, the Vengeance PvP Campaign is now live on all platforms until July 9, offering a massive-scale Cyrodiil stress test with normalized stats and exclusive rewards.
