MMORPG Daily Drop July 1st 2025

July has dropped in with a wave of MMORPG news, with new updates and even a beach party boss fight

Let's break it all down in today's MMORPG Daily Drop. First up, Albion Online just launched its Abyssal Depths update, packed with lots of good stuff

There's a brand new dungeon type called The Depths, which is a fast-paced, health-themed

small group PvP piece of content, where you only lose your inventory rather than all of your gear

as you do in other areas of Albion Online which really gives a nice balance between

full loot and kind of zero risk. There's also a new PvP hub area which connects to the depths

corrupted dungeons and hell gates and there's also PvP progression to earn goodies such as

spider mounts, pets, crests and other exclusive loot. For new players a refined tutorial and the

new first steps journal helps guide you into three different play styles from adventurer

Duelist or Gatherer. And finally there's a bunch of quality of life changes, UI tweaks

and two new crystal weapons. This is a really huge update for Albion Online for both veteran

and newbie players City of Titans has hit a big development milestone with the team finalizing a new Unreal Engine 5 build to bring smoother frame framerates better city visuals and a new rendering pipeline Once the build is stable they planning to go online

They've got a new server already in place, and most of the back-end infrastructure is ready

There is no set date yet, although this game is expected to release this year

Over in Star Wars The Old Republic, devs have just teased what is coming next

The next livestream will reveal a proper story roadmap, map including Galactic Threads and Master's Enigma. They're also testing DirectX 12 support

and Ratataki characters are getting upgraded visuals soon. It's all part of update 7.7.1

RuneScape's Summer Beach event is back until July 28th with skilling minigames, XP boosts

daily clue scrolls and the world boss Claudia returns to cause chaos. Don't forget the new

overheating mechanic however you will need to eat ice cream so your character doesn't overheat

World of Warcraft Classics Mist of Pandaria pre-patch is live and you can now play as a

Pandaren, try out the new talent system and jump into 3v3 pet battles before launch on July 21st
