Hello everyone and welcome to the Tank Club. In this video we're going to provide an
0:10
insight on which are the best gear sets to obtain as a tank in the Elder Scrolls Online
0:16
in 2024. While there are many sets that can be used by ESO tanks, this guide will highlight
0:23
all of the key sets to look out for if you want to be able to progress as a tank and
0:27
get into groups for all content such as dungeons, trials and arenas, ensuring that you're
0:33
well prepared for any challenge. For a full list of all tank sets regardless of how useful
0:38
they are and niche sets and things like that, all of the information is over on my website
0:41
thetankclub.com. If you do have any questions about anything here you can do so in the comments
0:46
below or you can go and join the Tank Club Discord where we will answer all of your questions
0:51
So let's get straight into this tank gear guide for 2024. So first we're going to look at the essential tank sets. Now you will need two of these
0:59
gear sets in all content. You'll always need to be wearing two five-piece gear sets. And
1:04
the sets we're going to look at are the most essential ones that you should try and grab hold of so that you're able to go and do all of the game's content. So first of all we've
1:11
got a couple of dungeon sets. So these sets are obtainable in normal mode dungeons, making
1:17
them very accessible while having really really good value in all content. Now the first gear
1:22
set is Crimson Oath's Rive. This will be found in the Dreadcellar dungeon which is
1:27
a DLC dungeon. With this gear set you will get two lines of armor which is really really
1:32
good because that will buff up your resistances both spell and physical. You also get an increase
1:37
in max health so it's a well-designed tank set for you as the wearer. And then the five-piece
1:41
gear set, while you are in combat, casting an ability, drinking a potion or using a poison
1:47
that applies a major or minor buff to yourself or an ally, sends out a wave of energy that
1:52
reduces the armor of nearby enemies within 12 meters by 3541 for 15 seconds. And you
1:59
can do this every 12 seconds. So this inflicts a substantial penetration debuff on up to
2:04
6 enemies. This significantly buffs your group's damage output. So this is a really really good
2:10
set to pick up really early on because it's easy to get. You can just go and do the Dreadcellar
2:15
or normal to get this gear set and it's going to be useful for dungeons and trials
2:20
The next gear set is Turning Tide. This is found in the Shipwright's Regret dungeon
2:24
which again is another DLC dungeon. This set really helps you with the two lines of max
2:30
health and the line of max stamina so it buffs up your max stats. For the five-piece group
2:35
buff, when you block you gain flowing water for 10 seconds causing your next bash attack
2:40
to deal damage to up to 6 enemies in a 5 by 10 meter line. It also applies major vulnerability
2:47
for 10 seconds which increases the damage that enemies take by 10% and you can do that
2:53
once every 15 seconds. So it offers a really dependable and consistent major vulnerability
2:59
debuff. This drastically enhances your group's DPS. It is very much a meta set for dungeon
3:06
content so one of the best dungeon sets that you can use if you're really trying to optimize
3:10
your dungeon setup. It's also one of the staple gear sets for trial main tanking due
3:15
to its reliability. So if you wanted to set up a generic tank for doing trial content
3:20
Turning Tide would be one of the sets that you would put in there. Next we move onto
3:24
trial sets. So these are a bit more challenging to obtain due to needing 12 players to complete
3:29
a trial but they do provide some great buffs, some great benefits. It's just a bit challenging
3:35
to obtain them. The perfected versions are even tougher requiring veteran difficulty
3:40
of the trials so that can be quite unobtainable for newer players. If you are new to trials
3:45
consider collecting the non-perfected version first but just hold off and don't apply any
3:51
expensive enchants and don't upgrade it to gold until you get the perfected one. If you
3:56
think you're on the track to be able to do the veteran version then obviously don't waste
4:01
all your resources upgrading. So the first trial set that you want to be looking at is
4:05
Pearlescent Ward. This is from the Dreadsail Reef trial so this can be quite a difficult
4:10
one for groups to be doing on veteran but it will provide a passive group buff with
4:15
absolutely no micromanagement so you don't have to do anything you will just provide
4:20
a buff 100% of the time by doing nothing. This gear set will be needed to be used on
4:26
both bars at all times. It needs to be one of those gear sets that you use on the body
4:30
so that it's always active. So this gear set will give you increased max health, increased
4:34
healing taken, it will give you the minor aegis buff so it reduces your damage taken
4:39
but the main part of this, the perfected version adds another line of health but it grants
4:43
you and up to 11 group members pearlescent ward. This bonus persists through death so
4:47
even if you're dead this buff still is provided to the group. Pearlescent ward increases weapon
4:52
and spell damage by up to 180 based on the number of group members that are alive. So
4:57
if everybody's alive they get 180 weapon and spell damage. Pearlescent ward increases
5:04
damage reduction from non-player enemies out of 66% based on the number of group members
5:10
that are dead. So when someone dies you will get a bit of a damage reduction buff instead
5:16
and that will increase the more people that die. So the reason why this gear set is so
5:20
good is because if people die you will be able to resurrect them more easily or at least
5:26
your group members will. If everybody's alive you're giving them a damage buff. It doesn't
5:30
require you to do anything to provide any of these buffs. So it's just absolutely ideal
5:34
for beginners, for new players, it's ideal for main tanks in trials, it's useful in dungeons
5:40
and arenas if your uptime management isn't very good. If you're not very good at keeping
5:44
up times on things like powerful assault or other gear sets that you have to proc and
5:48
activate, pearlescent ward is a fantastic gear set to use. The next set is Saxial Champion
5:53
from Rockgrove. Now this set is going to give you maximum magicka, it's going to give
5:58
you minor aegis again, it's going to give you some more max stamina and if you've got
6:02
the 5 piece imperfected you get max stamina again. For the group buff, when you use an
6:06
ultimate ability while in combat you and up to 11 group members within 28 meters of you
6:12
gain major force for 1 second per 15 ultimate spent, increasing your critical damage done
6:19
by 20%. Although this is less popular due to the plethora of useful tank sets available
6:25
nowadays it remains valuable especially for inexperienced tanks and groups. Combining this with a defensive ultimate like barrier for example allows you to supply major force
6:36
to your group, so the warhorn buff, while also shielding them and giving them the added
6:40
protection. What you can also do is by using this with a full 500 stacked ultimate is you
6:45
will actually get a longer major force uptime compared to warhorn, so you can provide a
6:50
higher uptime of major force as well. So this is still a good set to obtain and it just
6:56
adds that little bit of extra usefulness if you are a kind of a newer player or your group
7:01
is really struggling or they're quite a new group of players. You're able to do content
7:05
a bit easier especially combining Pearlescent Ward and Saxial Champion, it's one of my favourite
7:10
setups to go with. Right the next set is Loosened Echoes which is a new set with Gold
7:15
Road. This gear set will give you healing taken, it will give you minor Aegis, it will
7:20
give you max health. For the perfected version you'd also get another line of max health
7:25
and then the important thing here is while you have more than 50% health, increases the
7:30
critical damage and healing of your group members. Group members wearing Loosened Echoes
7:35
cannot benefit from this effect. While you have 50% or less health, reduces your damage
7:40
taken from monsters by 20%. So this is a brand new set from the trial Loosened Citadel and
7:46
it's a very user friendly alternative to Elemental Catalyst. So when your health is above 50
7:52
it grants a very beneficial group buff. While your health dips below 50% you will get a
7:58
defensive buff, your group don't get a defensive buff. So it is similar to like how Pearlescent
8:03
Ward works but only you will get that damage reduction. The only issue with Loosened Echoes
8:08
is it's not quite as strong as Elemental Catalyst. So it's an Elemental Catalyst alternative
8:14
but it's not quite as strong. But it is still strong and easy to maintain as an option
8:20
So from a tank perspective you would possibly use this over Elemental Catalyst because this
8:25
is much easier to activate. You just need to have your health above 50% so you don't
8:29
really need to do anything. Whereas Elemental Catalyst requires a lot of activation, it
8:34
requires dots, it requires skill casting, it requires things to be running. So it is
8:39
a much easier set to use than Elemental Catalyst. So this is a really good one to consider if
8:44
your group need that increased critical damage and healing. The next trial set is the Vestment of Olarim set that you get from Cloudrest. Now many
8:53
people will think well that's more of a healing set and you're not wrong. If we take a look
8:58
at what it provides, it gives Magicka recovery, it gives minor Aegis, reducing damage taken
9:04
it has more Magicka recovery, it has max Magicka and then the group buff is casting abilities
9:10
that leave an effect on the ground in combat will create a circle of might for 5 seconds
9:15
You and your group members in the circle gain major courage for 20 seconds, increasing weapon
9:19
and spell damage by 430 for 20 seconds. And this can occur once every 10 seconds. The
9:25
reason why you would use this is it's critical for buffing group DPS in dungeons and arena
9:31
content. As you become kind of more experienced as a tank, you'll often be expected to tank
9:36
dungeons and arena content without a dedicated healer. So Olarim makes providing that major
9:42
courage buff that's usually provided by a healer straightforward for a tank because
9:46
you just need to do something where you put something on the ground. So Blockade, Caltrops
9:51
those kind of skills when you place them on the ground, it will put an Olarim circle on the ground for your group to stand in to get major courage. But you only need to do
9:59
this when you don't have a healer. So if you have a healer in your group, they're probably
10:02
going to be using Spellpower Cure, which provides the same buff. So you would not need this
10:08
But it's more later on in the game when you are doing that harder content, when you don't
10:11
have a healer, you are going to need to be providing major courage because that is the strongest and the biggest weapon and spell damage buff that you can provide. It's stronger
10:20
than Powerful Assault, it's stronger than Pearlescent Ward and things like that. So
10:25
this would be the one that you need to use for that dungeon and arena content when you
10:30
don't have a healer and you're trying to buff your group. The final five piece gear set is
10:33
Powerful Assault. Powerful Assault is a set where it's going to give you max health, max
10:39
stamina, it's going to give you weapon and spell damage increase. The five piece bonus
10:44
when you cast an assault ability while in combat, you and up to five group members within
10:47
12 meters gain 307 weapon and spell damage for 15 seconds. So this is one of those gear
10:53
sets that you only need to use on one bar. It's obtainable through the guild stores or
10:58
by purchasing coffer boxes with Telvar stones in the Imperial City. Powerful Assault can
11:03
be costly, but it is worth the investment. So although it demands a significant amount
11:08
of micron management, it does excel in dungeon and arena content, especially when you work
11:14
alongside a healer. It's a very popular choice for off tanks in trials, but sometimes a healer
11:19
also uses Powerful Assault, at which point you wouldn't need it. Now in dungeon content
11:23
you will need to cast an assault ability one time to provide this to your group. They have to be within that range. In trial content, it becomes a bit worse because you do need
11:30
to cast this twice to make sure everybody gets the buff. So it can be difficult. If
11:35
you're not very good at casting this every 15 seconds to provide the buff, the micron
11:40
management is too difficult, then obviously you would use something else like Pearlescent Ward. Although Pearlescent Ward does provide a weaker buff, it is going to be consistent
11:49
So if you are somebody who is able to manage the uptime, you are able to keep casting it
11:53
then this would be the best option. So all of these five piece sets provide a strong
11:57
mix of kind of offense, defense, utility buffs that will help you meet the varied challenges
12:02
of tanking in the Elder Scrolls Online. By having all of them, you should fit into any
12:07
type of group for any type of content. So focus on getting all of these sets that we
12:12
mentioned as a main priority so that you can do all content as a tank in all types of groups
12:17
Okay, next we're going to look at monster sets. And monster sets are helmets that drop
12:21
from final bosses in veteran dungeons. And the shoulders are collected from the Undaunted
12:25
Enclave by completing daily pledges and speaking to the NPCs. And you'll do specific dungeons
12:31
where you get rewarded with keys to spend. And together, those two pieces create a thing
12:35
called a monster set. Now there are really four essential main monster sets that you
12:39
want to get for tanking in ESO. So you can be covering every base that you need. The
12:44
first one is Tremorscale. This comes from Volunfel, and this is one of the best and
12:49
the first monster sets that you can get very, very easily. Volunfel, even on veteran, is
12:54
a pretty easy base game dungeon. And this monster set is also still a really strong
12:59
option quite often still used in trials by main tanks. It's useful in dungeons too as
13:04
it gives an automatic pen debuff, which you'll proc by using pierce armor. So you get max
13:10
stamina for the one piece. For the two piece, when you activate a taunt ability on an enemy
13:14
you cause a dune ripper to burst from the ground beneath them after one second, dealing
13:18
physical damage to all enemies within four meters and reducing their armor for 15 seconds
13:23
This effect can occur once every 10 seconds and it scales off your physical or spell resistance
13:28
whichever is higher. So the more resistances you've got, the bigger debuff you provide
13:33
And so this is a really good way of increasing your group's pen rating, which is important
13:38
for buffing that DPS. The next one is Incartus's Behemoth. This one comes from Black Drake
13:43
Villa. And for this gear set, you're going to get increased max magicka for the one piece
13:48
For the two piece, dealing flame damage to an enemy grants you Behemoth's aura for 12
13:53
seconds that reaches up to 12 meters. You and up to 11 group members in the aura reduce
13:59
flame damage taken by 5%. Enemies in the aura increase their flame damage taken by
14:03
5%. This effect can occur once every 15 seconds. So this is one set that is not as good as
14:09
it used to be, but it still has some use. It does buff your group's fire damage to enemies
14:15
stood inside the aura. So if your group are using flame staffs, flame enchants, flame
14:20
skills, then this is going to provide a buff to those things. It will also reduce the fire
14:26
damage taken to you and group members that are stood inside the aura. So if an enemy
14:30
is doing a lot of fire damage, this can be really helpful in those flame based encounters
14:35
So there are a few trial situations especially where there's heavy fire damage. There's
14:39
a one or two dungeons where there's bosses that do big fire damage. So in those situations
14:44
if your group is struggling, having a 5% flame reduction can be a nice option. But as I mentioned
14:50
this isn't one of the top ones nowadays, but you might still need it for those specific
14:55
situations and for when group members are using flame damage. Now we get into some really
14:59
good ones. Next we've got Nazare. This comes from Shipwright's Regret. This is the same
15:03
dungeon where you obtain the Turning Tide set. So you've got two reasons now to do
15:07
Shipwright's Regret. With Nazare, you will get increased max health for the one piece
15:12
and for the two piece. When you use an ultimate ability, the closest six enemies within 12
15:17
meters have all major debuffs and minor debuffs applied to them extended by one second per
15:23
20 ultimate spent. This effect can occur once every 30 seconds per target. This is most
15:29
of the used in trial content, but it's not really that easy to obtain. This can be a
15:33
kind of tricky dungeon to do on veteran. Some newer players might struggle to get this
15:37
This set is a really good one as it helps you and your group to keep higher uptimes
15:41
on major and minor debuffs. So when you apply major vulnerability to the enemy, when you're
15:47
applying minor brittle, major brittle, different things like that, if someone then uses Nazare
15:53
while using a big ultimate, it's going to extend that duration so that you don't have
15:57
to try and keep casting these things as frequently because the uptimes are going to be running
16:01
for a much longer time. So it can be really, really good. This does usually mean that the
16:04
group does more DPS and enemies do less damage. So it can be useful in many situations, but
16:11
as I say, it's mostly a trial set. Next we've got Arch Druid. This is from Earthenroot Enclave
16:16
and it's one of the best monster sets for tanks, but also one of the kind of harder
16:20
ones to obtain as this dungeon can be, again, tricky for newer players. But this monster
16:25
set can be used in all content. It applies major vulnerability as an AOE by heavy attacking
16:31
The one piece isn't super useful. You get offensive penetration and that's only for
16:35
you. For the two piece, when you deal damage with a heavy attack, after 1.2 seconds, you
16:39
deal shock damage to up to six enemies within a seven by five meter line on your target
16:46
applying major vulnerability to them for seven seconds, increasing damage taken by 10%. This
16:51
effect can occur once every 15 seconds. The fact that it applies major vulnerability as
16:56
an AOE by heavy attack, it makes it a brilliant two piece gear set. For two pieces of gear
17:01
you'll get in major vulnerability. When you combine this with using Turning Tide, you
17:05
can keep a reliable 100% uptime of major vulnerability all by yourself, which is a huge group DPS
17:12
increase. So this is fantastic for all content. Next we're looking at mythic and weapon sets
17:19
So weapon sets and mythic items are strong pieces of gear that provide a range of different
17:23
buffs and utility. It's good to have them available, although they won't always fit
17:28
into your build or be required by your group. If you're doing trials, for example, you
17:32
might not be asked to use it. The first one is Void Bash, which is also known as the Vatoshran
17:37
One Hand and Shield. It's probably one of the most meta pieces of gear for dungeon content
17:42
as a tank. Now there is a new scribing spell that does a similar effect to the Void Bash
17:49
However, Void Bash goes over 12 metres. So the reason why we would use this, the perfected
17:55
version that you get from Veteran gives you increased max health. The regular bonus is
18:00
when you deal damage with Power Bash, you apply Call of the Void to yourself for 2 seconds
18:04
enemies within 12 metres are immediately pulled to you. After Call of the Void ends, you apply
18:09
major maim to enemies in the area for 10 seconds, reducing their damage done by 10%. This effect
18:15
can occur once every 13 seconds. So with one button press, you'll pull all enemies
18:21
within 12 metres to you and you'll debuff them. This means you can crowd control enemies
18:25
quickly and easily to help your group to kill enemies faster. Using this is much better
18:31
for your sustain than chaining every individual enemy. The worst part about it is you need
18:35
to do the solo arena Vatoshran Hollows, which can be challenging, especially if you only
18:39
really play as a tank, although I do have a couple of builds that are good for completing
18:43
this content. But this is a fantastic way of crowd controlling in dungeon content on
18:48
all classes. As I say, there is a scribing skill now that will do a similar thing, but
18:52
it's only over 8 metres, which is really kind of too short of a distance in comparison
18:58
So the 12 metre range is usually enough to pull everything in in a dungeon ad pull. So
19:03
I would definitely still get this. You don't have to get the perfected version for the extra max health. You can just do Vatoshran Hollows on normal to get the Void Bash set
19:12
because it is so, so good to have. Next we've got the Spaulder of Ruin. This is a mythic
19:16
item and it will take a little bit of time to gather all of the pieces, but this mythic
19:20
just straight up buffs your group's DPS. You will lose some recovery in doing so, but
19:26
it is a strong buff, so you activate it by crouching and that will turn it on and it
19:31
will create an Aura of Pride. Up to 6 group members in the Aura of Pride will gain 260
19:36
weapon and spell damage, but you'll reduce your health, magic and stamina recovery by
19:41
70 for every target benefiting from your Aura of Pride. So in dungeon content, this isn't
19:47
too bad because you'll only have 3 people at one time stood inside of it. In trial content
19:52
you will lose a lot of recovery because you will have a full 6 people stood inside, but
19:56
this is really, really good for dungeon content, especially on ad pulls because on ad pulls
20:01
you don't necessarily need to use, like let's say you're doing an optimised dungeon group
20:05
you wouldn't necessarily need Turning Tide and Archdruid for ad pulls, so you could put
20:09
in the Spaulder of Ruin to just give that group buff and then when you get to bosses
20:13
you'd switch it out for the monster set, but then this is quite frequently used as well
20:17
by off-tanks in trial content. You will sometimes have the off-tank along with a healer, both
20:21
using Spaulder of Ruin to provide this buff, so it's a really good mythic to have, but
20:25
you won't need it for all content. The final weapon and mythic is the Puncturing Remedy
20:30
Set, also known as the Master's One-Handed Shield. It comes from Dragonstar Arena, which
20:35
is fairly easy nowadays and it's part of the base game, but it takes forever to complete
20:41
and it quite frankly is quite boring. So the Puncturing Remedy Set will give you increased
20:46
healing taken for the perfected version and then for the regular buff, it's when you deal
20:50
damage with Puncture, you heal and gain spell and physical resistances equal to the amount
20:55
of healing or overhealing done for 5 seconds. It all scales off your max health, so the
20:59
more max health you've got, the bigger heal you'll get. You can also buff this up with
21:03
different healing-based buffs to make this a bigger heal. So this is good for whenever
21:08
you use a piece of gear that only needs to be worn on one bar, so Powerful Assault or
21:12
Saxe Heal Champion, you only need to use those on your back bar. You go to your back bar
21:17
you activate the set and then you go to your front bar. It helps with survival as you'll
21:21
heal each time you use Pierce Armor to taunt and the heal can be quite a large heal too
21:25
you can get up to a 10k heal without that much effort and you also gain resistances
21:29
but those can't really be relied on. So this is a good way to increase your survival if
21:33
you are struggling. It gives you a stamina heal to go along with your magic heal, let's
21:36
say you're a Dragon Knight using Green Dragon Blood for your main heal but then you want
21:40
another heal and you've got lots of extra stamina, you can use Puncture Remedy as well to give yourself more healing, so it's a good way to improve your survival rating
21:49
And then finally we're going to look at beginner tank gear sets. When you are a brand
21:53
new player to ESO, you won't have gear, you might not have DLCs, you might not be able
21:57
to obtain the gear we've just talked about, so we're going to look at starting out
22:01
So the main thing you want to look at is getting level 50 and then getting to champion
22:05
point 160. So once you reach that point, you can access max level gear. As a beginner tank
22:11
you should follow these tips to quickly and efficiently set up your equipment
22:15
So number 1, join a guild and find crafters. You can join up to 5 in-game guilds, so you
22:22
want to expand your network, you want to look for crafters in different discords and guilds
22:27
and see if someone will help you out. Ask guild crafters to make you CP150 gear, which
22:33
will suffice until you find or purchase better gear. You can either pay the crafters to craft
22:38
it, they usually do it quite cheap, or provide the materials yourself. Now the reason you
22:42
would go for CP150 gear and not 160, the amount of materials it takes to make CP150 gear is
22:48
very very small, but then when you want to make the max level CP160 gear, you need a
22:53
huge amount of materials to craft it. The fact is you're going to be replacing this
22:57
gear very quickly, so there's no point in investing loads of materials, loads of gold
23:03
into getting this gear in the max level when you're going to be switching it out very very
23:07
quickly. Now before we go onto the gear sets, this would be a good time to start doing crafting
23:13
research, because when you craft gear, when you want to trait change gear, when you want
23:18
to make high level gear, you want to get it in the traits that are most beneficial
23:23
to a tank. So you want to prioritise learning these traits. So the armour traits, you want
23:28
to learn divine, sturdy and reinforced on your armour pieces, especially heavy armour
23:34
so focus on your heavy armour pieces getting those traits, but also your medium and light
23:39
armour for the head and the shoulders. Now for the weapon traits, you need to learn infused
23:44
on your ice staff, charge can also be good on the ice staff as well, and then decisive
23:49
infused and charged for your one handed weapons. And then finally for your jewellery traits
23:55
start researching infused and harmony, as these are really critical for jewellery on
23:59
a tank. So make sure you go and do that research so that you're prepared for the later stages
24:03
of the game. Now when we look at the gear sets that you want to try and get, the best
24:07
crafted gear sets you can go for, number one, armour of the seducer. It offers magicka based
24:12
sustain that will benefit all of your tanking skills, provides high magicka recovery and
24:17
sustain and that is the main focus for a tank because pretty much all of your skills will
24:22
cost magicka. So you get increased magicka, increased magicka recovery and it reduces
24:26
the cost of your magicka abilities by 10%. So this is a really nice self sustained crafted
24:31
set to use for a beginner tank. Next you've got druid's braid. It's a 12 piece set that
24:37
grants cumulative stats for each piece that you wear. It allows flexible combinations
24:42
with other gear while maximising your overall stats. So you will get max health, max magicka
24:48
and max stamina. So each one piece of this that you wear, up to 12 pieces, will give
24:53
you an increase in your max stats. So it's a really good set to wear because like I say
24:58
it gives you that chance to be flexible. And if you want to wear a 5 piece gear set of
25:02
another one, you can fill the rest of the space with this one and it just allows you to take things out so as soon as you get a monster set maybe, you can switch the helmet
25:09
and the shoulder out and you can still benefit from the other pieces being druid's braid
25:13
The next set would be fortified brass. You're going to get max health and then a ton of
25:18
armour. Three lines of increased armour. Armour equals spell and physical resistance. It will
25:24
increase your armour significantly, increasing your defence. Boosting resistances helps you achieve the resistance cap of 33,000. Never go above 33,000 resistances because that is
25:34
the maximum, that is the king. And you want to make sure that you've also got major and
25:38
minor resolve combined with that and you're just going to be super defensive and you're
25:42
going to take less damage. So a really good option for a crafted set. The final crafted
25:48
set would be Taurog's Pact. Now this set will give you increased armour, max health
25:54
more armour and then for the 5 piece it decreases weapon enchantment cooldown by 33% and increases
26:01
non-oblivion damage weapon enchant potency by 45%. This is one of the only gear sets
26:07
that you can craft that still has use later down the line. So if you did want to get this
26:11
in Champion Point 160 this would be the only one worth doing it. It's Taurog's Pact
26:17
It's a versatile set that enhances group utility, increases your own armour. If you use an infused
26:22
crusher eye staff it will boost your group's DPS. So when you put down elemental blockade
26:28
you've got an infused crusher enchant on an eye staff while using Taurog's Pact, you
26:32
will give a bigger debuff meaning your group are going to do more damage. When you go onto
26:37
your front bar with your one-handed weapon, your infused one-handed weapon will also get
26:42
buffed. So let's say you're using an absorbed stamina enchant on your one-hander on the front
26:47
bar that will give you more stamina back. It will also proc more frequently so you'll be able to
26:52
get more resources back. So this is a really good set for a new player because it does provide you
26:57
benefits, it provides group benefits and it's still useful later down the line. So while you're
27:01
still farming that later gear, you can use this because this set does have a group benefit unlike
27:06
all of the others. Now there are some other sets you can use. These are non-DLC sets. So you might
27:11
be a tank who now wants to progress a little bit. You've got your crafted gear but you want to
27:15
progress onto something else but you don't own any of the DLC content. So you can't do the DLC
27:20
dungeons, you can't do the trials. So how do you upgrade your tank? Well the next best sets that
27:25
you could possibly use would be Ebon Armoury. Now Ebon Armoury gives you max health, more max
27:30
health, increased healing taken and it increases your max health by 1000 for you and up to 11 group
27:36
members within 28 meters and you will provide this bonus even if you're not alive. It is one of the
27:41
easiest sets to obtain as you just need the armour pieces. You just need to wear it on the body pieces
27:47
You get it from Crypt of Hearts which is a very easy dungeon, especially on normal. It's just not
27:52
super useful in today's game for your group. So it's a group buff but it's not a great group buff
27:58
nowadays because everybody has got much higher base stats than they used to. But it will add a
28:02
level of survival if you are kind of new to the game. It buffs you up and it's a good buff for you
28:08
It's at least providing the group something. So if you don't own any DLC content this would be one of
28:12
the best options that you can get from the base game. The set that you would pair this with would
28:17
be the Wyrm's Raiment which is from Vaults of Madness. What this set does, it gives you Magicka
28:22
recovery, it gives you max Magicka, more Magicka recovery and then for the five piece it grants
28:28
Magicka recovery to you and up to 11 group members within 28 meters. So it's another one of those
28:32
aura buffs, very similar to Ebon. It basically, if you're somebody who is using Armour of the Seducer
28:37
the crafted set, and you want to use something that's more beneficial for your group rather than
28:42
just yourself, you switch Armour of the Seducer for Wyrmcult because it's going to basically do
28:48
similar stuff but it's not going to diminish your group's effectiveness. Now the only thing is it's
28:52
not as beneficial in today's game but at least it would be some kind of group buff that benefits you
28:57
and your group. One of the issues is that you'd need to wear this on the weapons and the jewelry
29:01
because it's a light armor set. The jewelry can be gained pretty easy, the shield comes from the quest
29:06
you can get a one-hander from the last boss, the eye staff is the issue here. So that's the only
29:10
trouble you'll have with the Wyrm set is getting the eye staff. Now when it comes to easy monster
29:15
sets, we've already talked about Tremorscale, it's a great, very attainable beginner set and it's super
29:22
super useful even in the end game. So a great set to get, it's used by a lot of groups and a lot of
29:27
content, reduces the enemy's armor based on your resistances and it'll increase your
29:31
group's damage. One of the other options would be Bloodspawn, so Bloodspawn will give you increased
29:36
stamina recovery which isn't always useful but when you take damage you have a six percent chance
29:41
to generate 13 ultimate and increase your physical and spell resistance. The resistances are negligible
29:48
they're not really reliable or worth thinking about but it's a great set for generating extra
29:53
ultimate and it's very easy to get as well from Spindle Clutch 2 on veteran. So that can be a good
29:58
option if you want to try and get your ultimate quicker. And then the last one would be Lordwarden
30:03
It comes from Imperial City Prison, it gives you and your group increased armor. So you get armor for
30:08
the one piece and then for the two piece. When you take damage you have a 50% chance to summon a
30:13
Shadow Orb for 10 seconds that increases the physical and spell resistance of you and your
30:17
group members within 8 meters by 3,180 and that can occur once every 10 seconds. So it has a 100
30:23
uptime potential. Your group just need to stand inside the aura, it increases survival for yourself
30:29
but also group members when they are close in range to you. It's not super super useful but there are
30:34
some certain trial situations in the end game where you might find use for it such as more of
30:38
lore cache, halls of fabrications on the last boss when you will stack on top of the boss and things
30:43
like that. So when people are really close this will boost that survival a little bit so it can
30:47
be good and it can help you as well to get your resistances up if you're not quite at that 33,000
30:52
cap. Now while Imperial City Prison is essentially not part of the base game, this DLC is usually
30:58
free nowadays so it is kind of okay to get. It's a little bit harder than Bloodspawn and Tremorscale
31:03
but still very attainable and still has some kind of value. So that is everything for this
