This Ravendawn Paladin Tank Build is designed for group PvE dominance, offering strong self-sustain, crowd control, and powerful debuffs. With high survivability and group support, this ultimate tank build keeps enemies locked down while buffing and protecting allies, making it the perfect choice for group content.
Ravendawn offers several Tank class options, but the Paladin stands out as one of the best choices for small group PvE. Whether you’re tackling Aether Echoes, quest final bosses, or duo hunting, the Paladin’s unmatched balance of tanking, self-healing, and damage output makes it a powerful and reliable pick for any team.
To create a Paladin you’ll need the core Tanking archetype Protection which offers defensive abilities, high threat and taunting skills, along with self healing. The Warfare archetype which adds crowd control and high-threat AoE attacks, ensuring you can hold aggro in group fights. And finally Holy archetype, the primary healing archetype, providing single-target heals, AoE support, and healing-over-time effects to sustain yourself and your allies.
50% of your points should be in Might, this will help you output more damage and maintain threat.
The other 50% should be in Wisdom. For a Paladin especially you need to be able to keep yourself alive.
Vitality isn’t initially as important but you will need to focus more into this for later game.
The skill focus in this build is high threat, self sustain, damage mitigation, survival and group utility.

Tanking in Ravendawn is highly reactive, requiring adaptability based on the situation. However, some skills have specific uses that remain consistent in threat generation, mitigation, and support. Unlike a DPS rotation, where you follow a set sequence, tanking involves priority-based skill usage to control enemies and protect allies.
Opening Sequence
Spammable Skills
Unlike most builds that rely on a single spammable, Paladins use three for different purposes:
Maintain Skills – Keep Active for Group Buffs & Enemy Debuffs
Reactive Skills – Situational Usage
Damage & High Threat Abilities
Final Tips for Optimal Tanking
✔ Keep Shieldbreak active at the start of every fight.
✔ Maintain healing & defensive shields to minimize incoming damage.
✔ Prioritize high-threat AoE skills during group fights to hold aggro.
✔ Time interrupts & stuns to control boss mechanics.
✔ Use Unbreakable wisely, as it lowers threat & damage while providing protection.
