Guild Wars 2 Sets Date for Janthir Wilds Voiceover Return
ArenaNet has confirmed that English voice acting for Janthir Wilds chapters 11–19 will be reintroduced in a patch scheduled for August 19. The lines had been missing due to the SAG-AFTRA strike, but with a new agreement ratified, work has resumed. The patch will also include voiceovers for side missions and new achievements tied to replaying voiced chapters.
LOTRO’s July Developer Letter Teases PvMP, Kinship Events, and More Birds in 2025
Standing Stone Games dropped a new “Letter from Orion” with a preview of Update 45: Allies and Adversaries. The patch brings big Monster Play updates to the Ettenmoors, a new Kinship Calendar system, and more Birding-themed activities. Unfortunately, planned fishing system changes are delayed until 2026. A new expansion pack is also teased for Q4 2025, and 32-bit server character creation will be locked by July 30.
Mabinogi Launches Faith & Fury Update with Dual-Talent Arcana
Nexon’s summer update for Mabinogi adds two new Arcana paths: Sacred Guardian, a tanky fusion of Holy Arts and Warrior, and Explosive Vanguard, a high-damage mix of Gunslinger and Lance talents. Players can now climb to Arcana level 250 and test out their perfect path via a nostalgic internet quiz. The patch also includes class balance tweaks and an introductory questline for Arcana systems.
The Starlight MMO Offers Detailed Dev Diary and Immersive Sneak Peek
GameTales and Com2uS have released a behind-the-scenes video showcasing the design philosophy behind upcoming MMORPG The Starlight. From PvP battle royale mechanics and environment-based sound design to branching storylines for each hero, the game promises high immersion and varied progression. The Starlight is currently in pre-registration and aiming for a Q3 release.
MapleStory Reveals Dave the Diver Crossover and New Class Features
MapleStory’s July 16 update brings a unique crossover with Dave the Diver. Players will dive into the Blue Hole, collect fish, and run their own Bancho Sushi mini-game. Alongside this themed event, the update includes class mastery node completions, more summer events, and boosted XP opportunities through the Starlit Adventure campaign.
New World Heads to PlayStation Plus on July 15
Amazon’s MMORPG New World: Aeternum is set to become available for free to PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers starting tomorrow, July 15. This move could expand the player base significantly ahead of Season 9: Season of the Banner, arriving later this month.
