Aion 2 – Full-Map Flying, 8 Classes & Seamless World Unveiled
NCSoft’s latest development stream for Aion 2 revealed a sweeping vision for the long-awaited sequel. The most headline-grabbing feature is its true full-map flying system, which lets players soar freely across a seamlessly connected open world, with no loading zones or fly-restricted areas.
The stream also introduced eight unique classes, each showcasing highly animated skill chains and a revamped combo-based combat system that rewards tactical execution. Developers emphasized a design philosophy focused on smooth exploration, detailed vertical worldbuilding, and territory control sieges that blend PvP and PvE objectives.
Combat is structured around customizable skill loadouts, allowing players to tailor their kit dynamically depending on the situation. Aion 2 is currently prepping for closed alpha testing later this summer.
