ESO Rockgrove Trial
Welcome to The Tank Club: ESO Rockgrove Trial Guide for Tanks.
Rockgrove is a DLC 12-person trial located in Blackwood. It was the tenth trial that was introduced into The Elder Scrolls Online with the Blackwood Chapter in June 2021.
In a similar fashion to the other recent trials Rockgrove has a Normal and Veteran difficulty with main 3 trial bosses, each with their own individual Veteran Hardmode. There are 2 additional mini bosses one of which is hidden.
This guide will focus on the Tank role and the mechanics and strategies for successfully completing this trial.

This is the gear you might be asked to use for this trial as the Off Tank:

Off Tanks in Rockgrove (most commonly Necromancers) have to be able to play as both a Main and Off Tank in this trial. This is due to Necro possessing very strong mitigation against Damage over Time and Bleeds.
ESO Rockgrove Trial Skills
In Rockgrove you’ll be dealing with a lot of incoming damage, so it can be a good idea to make use of damage reduction skills providing you with Major and Minor Protection.
Frost Clench is a vital skill for this trial also, you want to maintain this as much as possible on bosses for the Major and Minor Maim, it will allow you to reduce the incoming damage for your entire group.
You’ll need a pull skill for adds on every boss, and Crushing Shock is needed for interrupting ranges adds that do channel attacks.
On last boss Immovable is good for the Main Tank when the boss does it’s channelled swipes allowing you to hit the block mitigation cap to deal with this.
Having a speed boost skill is useful and on the last boss one of the Tanks might be expect to use a group speed boost.
