Comments:
The Olorime set is ideal for 4-player content, providing a significant buff that increases your group’s Weapon and Spell Damage, thereby boosting overall DPS. As a tank, this set is the best option for providing Major Courage because it only requires you to cast an ability that places an effect on the ground, such as Caltrops or Elemental Blockade.
This set is especially useful if you don’t have a healer in your group or if your healer is using a setup that does not provide Major Courage. Proper positioning is crucial: place the effect on top of damage dealers if they are inexperienced or in an accessible spot for more experienced DDs who know to pick it up.
Olorime is a Light Armor set, so you would typically use the jewellery and weapons to achieve the 5-piece bonus. It’s unnecessary to run this set on both bars; instead, use it on the back bar with a staff, allowing you to utilize a 2-piece weapon set on the front bar.
As the best set in ESO for buffing Weapon and Spell Damage, Olorime often replaces Powerful Assault in dungeon content without a healer. It pairs well with many other sets, and you can sometimes combine it with Powerful Assault for tanking in arenas.
It’s a set that requires a lot of micromanagement, but it’s not resource-intensive as many tank abilities will activate it. You will need to remember to proc it when only using it as a back bar set and place it efficiently rather than accidentally dropping it directly on yourself. This makes it less beginner-friendly that other sets but somewhat better than Powerful Assault, which is much more micromanagement-intensive.
In some trial situations, especially those where you play at range, Olorime can provide a group buff even when tanking from a distance. This set can be particularly useful for the Off Tank on the first boss in vHoF or in vSS on Yolnahkriin, offering a niche but effective option if it fits within your group’s strategy.
