Wayfinder Most Overpowered Potions

Today, we delve into the world of Wayfinder to uncover the most overpowered potions that can give your adventures a significant edge. Wayfinder’s potion system might be a bit quirky at the moment, with potions not always behaving as expected. However, we’ve identified some game-changing elixirs that are bound to make your journey through this mystical realm a whole lot easier.

Potion Quirks and Bugs

Before we dive into the most potent potions, let’s address some peculiarities in Wayfinder’s potion mechanics. First, potions don’t always get fully consumed upon use. Craft six potions, drink one, and you might still have six left. Occasionally, they mysteriously disappear, or you might even end up with more than you initially crafted. The good news is that even though the potions don’t always vanish, their effects still apply to your character.

Another issue is the experience gain from potions. While it claims to grant a 5% experience boost, our testing reveals that you actually only receive a flat 5 additional experience points, rendering it less useful for those seeking an experience boost. Hopefully, this will be rectified in future updates, as experience gain can already be a grind in Wayfinder.

Now, let’s jump into the potions that can truly make a difference in your adventures!

Utility Potions

1. Golden Phoenix Oil

First up, we have the enigmatic Golden Phoenix Oil. Though it doesn’t currently function as intended, it has the potential to be a game-changer. This potion promises to “bring you back from the Edge of the Gloom with 60% HP.” If it eventually works as expected, it will be a lifesaver in tough encounters. Imagine being able to revive yourself after being knocked out or assisting low-level characters in overcoming challenges. You can obtain the recipe for this intriguing potion from the Bone Orchard.

2. Unfiltered Arcblessed Draught

The Unfiltered Arcblessed Draught is our next contender. This elixir grants you 1/3rd of your Ultimate meter and doubles the rate at which you gain ultimate for 15 seconds. The benefits vary depending on your character. For instance, if you rely on a character like Wingrave with a level 3 Divine Aegis, this potion can help you access those abilities faster, minimizing your group’s exposure to damage and providing them with a protective shield. It also benefits characters with damage-focused ultimates, allowing you to use them more frequently. Find this valuable potion in the Bone Orchard.

Damage Potions

3. Purified Dragonkin Blood

If you’re looking for a potion that excels in all situations and can help you obliterate bosses in mere seconds, look no further than the Purified Dragonkin Blood. Acquired from the Grand Deceiver, this elixir boosts your weapon damage by an additional hit equal to 20% of your physical damage for 60 seconds. This translates to a substantial increase in damage output, especially if you’ve stacked your weapon damage and are dealing significant blows to a boss. It even affects your weapon abilities, making it one of the most important and potent potions in the game.

4. Unstable Ancient’s Tear

Last but not least, we have the Unstable Ancient’s Tear, which you can obtain from Bloodworks. Think of it as the Ability Power equivalent of Dragonkin, albeit at 15% rather than 20%. This potion adds an extra hit equal to 15% of the magic damage done when you use an ability. While it may not be as potent as Dragonkin for characters who rely heavily on weapon attacks, it complements Dragonkin perfectly. Using both potions together boosts both weapon and ability damage, resulting in an additional 15% from Ancient’s Tear and 20% from Dragonkin. The combined effect is a devastating increase in damage output that can melt bosses in seconds when coupled with a strong character or weapon.

Additional Potions

While the aforementioned potions are our top picks for game-changing effects, there are other potions that can enhance specific aspects of your gameplay. Chimeric Bloodbrew improves your break power, which is essential for defeating bosses more quickly. Arcanist’s Brew increases Ability Power and Crit Power, while Warmaster boosts attack power and crit rating—both of these may find their uses in certain situations.

Conclusion

If you’re looking to significantly boost your DPS (Damage Per Second), don’t miss out on the Unstable Ancient’s Tear and Dragonkin Blood potions when facing formidable bosses in Wayfinder. These elixirs can turn the tide of battle in your favor, ensuring that your enemies are swiftly defeated.
