Comments:
This set gives a very great group buff. The problem is maintaining the buff as it has a small radius of 10m and it can be sustain heavy, so often difficult to use for beginners.

This gear set was fixed with the Waking Flame patch. You can now cast an Assault ability and it will prioritise activating on group members in range who don’t currently have the buff, otherwise known as “Smart Targeting”. This is great for trial groups as they can now double cast an Assault ability and activate Powerful Assault on basically a whole group.

This set only needs to be used on 1 bar, so you use the Staff and an Assault ability on your back bar and then you can use a 2 piece weapon set on the front bar such as the Master Weapons.

The staves can be expensive and hard to obtain so you can front bar the set on a 1H and Shield or even use it on the Hands and Waist with a 5 Heavy/2 Medium option until you can upgrade to the weapons. Overall you can get this set very cheap on the Jewellery and Body pieces, especially during PvP events as there’s much more supply and this is one of the few Tank sets you can simply just buy rather than have to farm content to obtain.

Sometimes you might need to use this set on the body pieces – this is because as an Off Tank you might not always be “Tanking” hard hitting bosses and the Medium setup allows you to output some damage.

Commonly people proc this set with either morph of Vigor but using Razor Caltrops and Proximity Detonation are also both great options.
